TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Troy man has been arrested following an investigation into a stolen vehicle, according to police. Nazair Joseph, 23, faces multiple charges. On July 21 at 11 p.m., a Troy police patrol recognized a vehicle near Hoosick Street that had been reported stolen out of Albany. Officers then conducted a traffic stop on the car in the area of 10th Street and Middleburgh Street. Upon interviewing the driver, identified as Joseph, police noticed a handgun in the man's waistband. Joseph cooperated with police and was taken into custody without further incident. STEPHENTOWN, N.Y. (News10)-A breached beaver dam resulted in rushing water being released from a pond, washing out a Rensselaer County roadway and damaging one home in the rural community of Stephentown, New York. The Stephentown fire chief tells News10 that they received a call for service around 6am Monday morning regarding severe flooding on Garfield Road. “It’s a lot of water to come off the top of the hill, and across the road here,” said Dave Anthony, Highway Superintendent for Rensselaer County. Anthony told News10's Anya Tucker that the rushing water came from a pond high on a hill above the roadway when tons of water was released after a beaver dam on the pond breached. The beavers had apparently built their own 8-foot dam against a man made one that typically has water flowing into the nearby Kinderhook creek at a trickle. ST. LOUIS -- A woman, man, and a child were shot Monday afternoon near the intersection of Keokuk and Nebraska in south St. Louis. Police say all three victims have gunshot wounds to their legs.Gunfire erupted in the middle of the street Monday. Children from different families were were fighting. The father of one of the kids involved in the fight was taken into custody. People living in the area say kids were using weapons in the fight. The father from one family came outside and shot about 10 rounds at the other family.This is a developing story. Police say that they have an active investigation into the shooting. EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. - A California man attempted to ship methamphetamine across the country to the Metro East region by hiding the drugs in children's toys.Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Illinois said Jewelion Yarbrough, 34, pleaded guilty to three counts of distribution of methamphetamine. According to court documents, informants working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives identified Yarbrough in July 2019 as a meth dealer.Agents contacted Yarbrough on social media and arranged three separate purchases of the drug. Yarbrough admitted sending a combined total of more than 100 grams of methamphetamine in three shipments. ST. LOUIS - A convicted felon was indicted in federal court last week for allegedly robbing a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint in a popular St. Louis neighborhood.Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said Antione Shockley, 25, and his girlfriend placed a false order with a local Domino's on April 13, and provided a delivery address of a vacant home in the Central West End.When the driver arrived at the home, prosecutors claim Shockley pointed a gun at the victim and stole two pizzas, hot wings, and the insulated bag the driver had been carrying. Colorado State Patrol leadership is sounding the alarm after a trooper was injured by a suspected drunk driver Saturday morning — the 12th time this year a driver has struck a patrol car on the side of the road.“Lives are at risk,” State Patrol Chief Col. Matthew Packard said during a Monday afternoon press conference.The trooper, Kevin Bagley, fell nearly 30 feet down an embankment after leaping out of the way when the driver crashed into his patrol car Saturday morning near Interstate 270 in Adams County.
