(KRON) -- The Golden State Warriors played their last regular-season home game Tuesday and are looking to secure a playoff spot to guarantee their fans see a few more games at Chase Center. Although the Warriors will not have a home game for at least another week, that does not mean Chase Center and Thrive City will be without events in the meantime. The Warriors, along with Kaiser Permanente, are hosting a number of free events weekly throughout the spring.There are six different kinds of events happening until June. All events will happen at Thrive City, outside of the Chase Center. (KRON) — A shooting happened on the 9900 block of International Boulevard just after 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning, according to the Oakland Police Department. Police said officers found a victim that suffered a gunshot wound. Paramedics came to the area to help the victim and took them to the hospital for more treatment. The victim's status is unknown. OPD is currently investigating the shooting. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Bob Lee, founder of Cash App, was stabbed to death Tuesday morning on Main Street in San Francisco, not far from the Bay Bridge. In the aftermath of Lee’s shocking death, friends and co-workers say they can’t understand why this would happen. WASHINGTON (AP) — Tulip lovers have a new variety to choose from and it’s named for Jill Biden. The first lady accepted her “Jill Biden” tulip from André Haspels, ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the United States, during a ceremony at his official residence on Wednesday. The flower is reddish orange with fringed petals. Biden delivered a toast and said she was honored to participate in the tradition. “In this happy time, let these tulips’ dazzling orange be a reminder of the many springs our nations have shared, and be a beacon for the friendships we continue to strengthen today,” she said, according to her office. The Clerk and Recorder's office is still counting ballots and some candidates are telling city residents not to count them out.As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, Mike Johnston and Kelly Brough are still leading in votes.Johnston is holding steady with around 25% of the votes, but Brough's numbers are shrinking a bit. DENVER (KDVR) -- Compared to the last few years, this Rockies home opener will be on the chilly side. The last three April home-opener games in Denver were what some would call perfect baseball weather, with sunny and dry conditions and temperatures in the 60s and 70s. What time is the Rockies home opener? In the last few years, 2018 was a memorable opening day as far as the weather goes. At first pitch, temperatures were at 27 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. It was the coldest home opener on record for the Rockies. This year, temperatures will be in the low 50s by first pitch. Denver will stay sunny and dry throughout the game.
