Californians plead guilty in $600 million nationwide catalytic converter theft scheme SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Three members of a California family pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy for their role in a ring that shipped $600 million worth of stolen catalytic converters from California to New Jersey, federal prosecutors said.Brothers Tou Sue Vang, 32, and Andrew Vang, 28, along with their mother, Monica Moua, 58, were part of “a national network of thieves, dealers, and processors” who provided the stolen auto anti-smog devices to a metal refinery for more than $600 million dollars, according to a statement from the U.S. attorney’s office.Twenty-one people from California and New Jersey have been charged in the case, prosecutors said. Security Council rejected a Russian resolution Monday night that condemned violence and terrorism against civilians but made no mention of Hamas, whose surprise attack that killed 1,300 Israelis was the worst Jewish massacre since the World War II Nazi Holocaust.Only four countries joined Russia in voting for the resolution. Four countries voted against it, including the United States. Silver Cross Hospital CEO dies unexpectedly CHICAGO -- The President and CEO of Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox passed away unexpectedly Sunday.Ruth Colby, who served as the President and CEO of Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox since 2017, died on Sunday at the age of 69.During her time, Silver Cross Hospital was named one of the nation's 100 top hospitals 11 times.The Will County executive said Colby "was a servant leader and her legacy is the outstanding health care institution she helped create in Will County."Along with her duties at Silver Cross Hospital, Colby served as chair-elect of the Illinois Health and Hospital Assocation.She was slated to become chair in 2024.For more information, click here.

Besides being electric, it's also autonomous, meaning the driver can control the tractor from a phone or tablet instead of being behind the wheel. Longtime Mills High girls basketball coach dies Dave Matsu was remembered on Monday as a “best friend” to his son and more than a high school girls basketball coach.Matsu, 54, died on Saturday, one week after suffering a stroke.Justin Matsu, who coached alongside his father at Mills High in Millbrae, wrote Monday on social media, “My best friend, mentor, golf partner. Love and miss you so much already pops. Life will never be the same without you. Coaching will never be the same without but I promise to carry on your legacy.
